Breathtaking Easter Photos

I can't seem to find my camera software to load on the laptop, but I was daring today and just hooked the USB port into my laptop. Lo and behold, the computer could recognize the camera and the camera dock (thanks Kodak) and I was able to download them onto Adobe photoshop album to use.

I won't have time today for much but I simply must post these pictures that I stopped and snapped on our way to Easter services Sunday morning. I have never seen anything so beautiful.

When I figure out how to rotate the other photo in my software I will be posting it. The center shows the strong golden light coming straight down. It was breathtaking and I am so glad as I pondered whether to grab the camera on the way out the door (didn't really have a need to as I didn't plan to take any pictures at church), that I did bring it. I used it when we got to the bottom of our lane and turned onto the county road to head to church.

Hope you enjoy it. I know I will be making a special scrapbook page for it....

OCA & Dr. Bronner's Issue Cease and Desist Letters to Organic Cheaters

OCA & Dr. Bronner's Issue Cease and Desist Letters to Organic Cheaters

I have been reading in recent days about finding of non-organic ingredients in personal care products labeled organics.

This article which I received via Google Alerts gives many example of products that contain chemical and petroleum based ingredients. I use a numbe of these products. I will be going back through all my personal care products.

I would also suggest that you go to the Environmental Working Group site, which is linked below in my blog and checking out the safety of your cosmetics and personal care products. If you are having difficulty finding it, search the archives of my blog or put something in the comments and I will try to find a direct link to their database.

Missing In Action

I'm sorry I haven't been posting much in the last month. Especially after the posting spree in January when I was participating in a scrapbook layout challenge.

February was very busy for us with some travelling when my husband spoke in Wisconsin, plus having a booth at a conference and homeschooling. Also I switched from the 8 year old desktop to my new-to-me (used) laptop. Took the computers in to get things transferred over and I got them back this week. So I got all my old photos transferred to the laptop, but need to install my camera software on the laptop so I can download the most recent ones.

While I was away from blogging for these last 6 weeks, my hubby was able to get the wireless network set up for our house, so now I am able to work on my laptop anywhere (WOOHOO!). Especially nice when we are doing schoolwork the basement and I need too moderate messages for the homeschool loop.

While my laptop was in the shop last weekend, the kids played Webkinz on dad's MacBook Pro. Now I am hearing "Daddy's computer is so much faster than yours!". That's alright. I am happy to have a laptop and it is light years faster than the 8 year old desktop. Hoping to locate the camera software this afternoon (haven't installed it since 6 years ago) and get back to using photos in my blog posts.
